UPDATE: Lebônê has just won a $200,000 grant from the World Bank! Two Lebônê team members presented our proposal to an international jury panel from May 5-7 in Accra, Ghana, and we were selected as a grant recipient. This is very exciting news and we are incredibly grateful to the World Bank, IFC, and all the other Lighting Africa participants. Check back here for more updates!

Lebônê Solutions, Inc. is a social enterprise working in off-grid energy delivery and lighting technology. The mission of Lebônê is to help end the energy and lighting crisis in Africa by identifying and harnessing emerging technologies, developing and adapting them for the African market, and delivering them to rural villages in an innovative and accessible manner.
Lebônê offers comprehensive solutions to the pressing problems of developing countries. We combine innovative use of cutting-edge technologies from our technology partners with the local understanding necessary for a successful on-site roll out. We are in partnership with the Namibia Connection Youth Network, which will provide on the ground support for our full-scale implementation.
